cantwait4 Posted December 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2017 does carnival limit the number of drinks per day you can have with a drink package?
easyboy Posted December 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2017 15 alcoholic drinks per day (6am-6am) on Cheers package Sent from my iPhone using Forums
DLRM Posted December 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2017 The only limit is on alcoholic drinks. You can drink as much of anything else as you want - all included in the Cheers package.
okgirl Posted December 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2017 There is also a hidden price limitation since they started letting you order top shelf liquors up to $50 in cost. I don't remember how much it is, but several people have reported reaching their daily limit after just 8 or 9 drinks, when asking for top shelf. Also, if you have the Cheers program and play in the casino, even if you have the On Us card those drinks count against your 15 limit.

Perhaps they were having doubles?
Geargoesdown Posted December 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 8, 2017 There is nothing in the documentation supporting this. Perhaps they were having doubles? Or maybe they were acting like drunk fools and got cutoff! Last cruise in sept I ordered top shelf and never had an issue.
bar1068 Posted December 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 8, 2017 Or maybe they were acting like drunk fools and got cutoff! Last cruise in sept I ordered top shelf and never had an issue. Were any of those top shelf drinks even close to $50? Outside of a cognac at the steakhouse, I've not seen anything close to $50 onboard at any of the bars. I read somewhere on CC where there was mention of a $40.00 (or $50.00) glass of champagne in The Steakhouse. If it exists, I will find it. LOL. Luke Dawg Posted December 8, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 8, 2017 If you hit the 15 max you are done for the day, you can't buy even buy a drink
Bengalbug Posted December 8, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 8, 2017 If you hit the 15 max you are done for the day, you can't buy even buy a drink That's why you always bring on the bottle of wine for backup. When I hit 15 I am usually done for the day. But if I am just sipping on lighter beers all day around the pool, I can hit 10 in 5-6 hours no problem. And usually that is only the first day, after that it takes me a little to get going

Same here never had an issue with top shelf - I had some bartenders encourage getting a better liquor - definitely no "hidden price limitation"! mainescout Posted December 9, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 9, 2017 If you could find a $50 drink you are able to have up to 15 of them. You are not limited about having top shelf as long as they don't exceed the fifty dollars each.
coevan Posted December 9, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 9, 2017 it's not a contest, seems like some on this board would drink something they hated as long as it was expensive
cccer Posted December 9, 2017 #14 Share Posted December 9, 2017 it's not a contest, seems like some on this board would drink something they hated as long as it was expensive Well said. I like the package because I could try some things I normally would not but they were drinks that I wanted to try. Most of the time I drink Miller Lite so those and a few Titos and Rock Stars can get me to my 15 throughout the day.
