Rare AstoriaPreppy Posted December 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2017 I'm headed on the Gem in March, and through a combination of promos, we have $100 per port in shore excursion credit. According to the t&c of the promos, this credit can only be redeemed in advance, by calling NCL to book excursions. Currently, only 21 total shore excursions are showing up for the trip (not the typical 100+), and two of the ports have zero shore excursions available (one being St. Thomas). I'm pretty sure the NCL shore excursions dept is just trying to shuffle and reschedule everything based on the hurricane-affected itineraries, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had the same experience lately? Assuming that we board and there's a typical full slate of excursions, has anyone had experience getting NCL to honor the credit while on the ship? I cancelled an excursion and then later went and booked another onboard. No problem getting the promo. It shows up on your folio as the full excursion price and then a $50 credit on the same day (or in your case - 2 $50 credits probably). I don't expect you will have any issues. Tedj6050 Posted December 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2017 I recently returned from a sailing on the epic.our itinerary was changed because of the hurricanes.very few excursions were available till I boarded.many excursions were available to book onboard and my excursion credit was automatically applied at the end of the day.no problems. DarkJedi Posted December 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 8, 2017 I doubt they will give you a hard time about it. And they are re-shuffling everything. I was surprised to see excursions already popping up for my May cruise, but that is Alaska.

Actually, according to the Terms & Conditions, there are TWO ways to book excursions. One is by calling Shorex but the other is by booking aboard. So, no problem using that once you're aboard and book excursions.
