Rare georgiacat Posted December 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 9, 2017 I looked at the Princess transfer from our ship (Royal) to Heathrow via Windsor after our British Isles cruise next August. The transfer states that it is for reservations after 4 pm. Our flight leaves at 3:25 pm. If anyone here has taken that particular transfer (1/2 day), what time did you get to Heathrow? Would we be able to make our flight? Also wondering if a transfer with Smiths for Airports would take us by Windsor and if that would be a good deal? Better time wise, money? Also considering we may be too tired to do any more touring and had enough of castles and gardens. Anyone who has done the British Isles cruise with a transfer tour the day of flight departure, could I please have your thoughts? Thank you. Bob++ Posted December 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 9, 2017 It would depend on how much wriggle room they have built into the schedule. They would normally err on the side of caution, so if they are allowing the full recommended three hours for check-in, you would be okay. A bit of a gamble though. Smiths, or any of the other taxi firms would be happy to quote you. Of course, you will have to pay the waiting time while you are in the Castle, but at least you would be in control. I would start by emailing them and asking for a quote. You could try the other two local firms as well. Bear in mind that the taxi quote would be for the whole party, while Princess would be per person. http://www.smithsairportcars.co.uk/ http://www.aquacars.co.uk/ http://westquaycars.com/
