soccerbaseballmom Posted December 10, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2017 We will be sailing Seaview during the World Cup. We are so excited to be visiting Spain, France and Italy during this display of the world's sport. We are in the minority in our country, as we much prefer football to American football! Was wondering if anyone has any ideas regarding how MSC might air the games, or whether there might be any special theme parties related to it. On a related note, does anyone know whether Seaview would hold theme nights like a white party or Italian night, as I have seen on other MSC ships on Youtube? Thank you for any insight! You all are such great resources!
OceansOfTravels Posted December 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Being in Europe during the World Cup, you will most definitely see coverage of it. You can expect it to be on TVs in the sports bar, and maybe in certain lounges like the casino even. If the game is big enough, like it is France, Spain or Germany playing, it may even be shown on the TV by the pool, given the national diversity of your specific sailing. And, worst case scenario, games will be shown on your stateroom TV, but I cannot see them not making a big deal out of the World Cup, on a European cruise ship, in Europe. About the theme nights, they should still have them, they are becoming staples of MSC! You will have a great cruise! perakcruiser Posted December 11, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2017 Yes, you can see all matches on the TV in your cabin, in the Sports bar of cause but also on the big screen at the pool.
Rare Beamafar Posted December 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2017 About the theme nights....... there's no "Italian" night on Med cruises anymore; it's now "Mediterranean Night". Both the table runners and the waiters' aprons are a pale green - that's the only nod to a "theme" there is, apart from the menu, which will reflect cuisine from various Med countries. However there isn't anything for guests to participate in. Sent from my SM-G935F using Forums mobile app
