amcb Posted December 13, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Hi Everyone. We will be traveling this Christmas on Oasis, for our first holiday cruise. Does anyone know if there is any type of service/mass offered? Does it depend on if there are any clergy/pastors on board? We normally attend Christmas Eve or Christmas morning service on land and have no idea what to expect on board. Thanks in advance! :) Amcb
Clarea Posted December 13, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 13, 2017 In the past, Royal has offered religious services on Christmas and Easter.
JudyA01 Posted December 13, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Hi Amcb, We were on Voyager last year during Christmas and there was a mass almost every day I think...(I have to check on our compass). But we only attended the Chriistmass Eve midnight mass. Regards, Judy Sent from my iPhone using Forums
amcb Posted December 13, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Thanks so much, Bob and Judy! I was hoping that would be the case. As I mentioned, it’s our first holiday cruise, so I wasn’t sure what the situation would be. :)
JudyA01 Posted December 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 13, 2017 Hi amcb, It was our first ever cruise last year too, and had enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked again for the Chrismas Holiday sailing with Voyager this year. I hope you’ll enjoy your Christmas Holiday cruise too. Happy sailing ⛵️ Regards, Judy Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Markanddonna Posted December 14, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 14, 2017 Royal seems to have a priest onboard for daily mass on many of the sailings and then he is also in charge of a non-denominational service. Great for Catholics, but usually inadequate for Protestants unless you think a message from the wisdom of Erma Bombeck and Eleanor Roosevelt is appropriate (our last experience).
