Self Assist Debarkation Luggage question

If you do the self assist debarkation, do they open up your luggage for inspection on the way out? I'm wondering how carefully I'll need to pack for the trip home.

Hey, another Arkansas cruiser. Sorry didn't go to UCA, but visited there many a time.

I was class of 00. I wouldn't worry too much about them going through your stuff. If you are pack your stuff in ziplock bags. My wife and I are doing that for this saturday.

I don't mind them looking, I have nothing to hide, but I guess I'll pack things away neatly so I'm not embarrassed when an overstuffed suitcase explodes in front of everyone's eyes.

Another from Little Rock. There are several cruisers from Arkansas and even Little Rock on a couple of cruise boards I visit.

 

Bet I have more cruises than anybody. I leave on cruise number 82 on the Grandeur of the Seas on February 4, 2006. Then the Mediterrean in June, 2006.

How or when you leave has nothing to do with customs' decision to open your luggage. I never had customs open my luggage when returning by land, sea or air. Just don't bring back anything illegal and customs will not bother you.

Hmm, sounds like we may need to start a Central Arkansas Cruise Society. Judy, you are my idol. I only have 3 past cruises. But I do have 3 booked for the next 3 months.
