Clarea Posted December 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Indy has O3b!
h18furball Posted December 20, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted December 20, 2017 Oasis internet was way better than this. This drops all of the time. Very painful.
Hokie79 Posted December 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 20, 2017 That’s way better then last December. I struggled to even check email with surf and stream and it dropped constantly. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Pellaz Posted December 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 20, 2017 I thought Indy had "VOOM"-level Internet? I was going to get it for our upcoming February charter, but....maybe not. :(
Clarea Posted December 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 20, 2017 I thought Indy had "VOOM"-level Internet? I was going to get it for our upcoming February charter, but....maybe not. :( It has the faster O3b service now. Note that even though this is faster, it can still get oversubscribed. MarvinTMartian Posted December 20, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 20, 2017 We just got off Indy at Thanksgiving, I thought the internet was fine, as good as I have at home. But maybe mine sucks at home, lol!
vickiw0318 Posted December 21, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 21, 2017 On the Indy just after Thanksgiving. I had the basic coverage and it drove me crazy. (Okay, that's not a long drive. :) It was out way more than it was in.
h18furball Posted December 21, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted December 21, 2017 BTW, this was Surf and Stream. I would not get it again, just too painful.
Mikew0805 Posted December 21, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 21, 2017 On Indy, and this is what I measure. When we were on board in November, it would not stay connected at all. Then when we tried to reconnect, it would take so many attempts. Was almost useless, and we got a 50% refund, which I think was acceptable. irishgal432 Posted December 21, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 21, 2017 Just off. Internet was non existent in the pool deck, theaters and dining room. It only seem d to work well in the promenade and stateroom when it finally got connected. It was pretty poor internet. Clarea Posted December 21, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 21, 2017 Sounds to me like Indy was having problems with their WiFi system, not the internet connection.
Pellaz Posted December 21, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 21, 2017 I guess I'll get the internet onboard....and encourage everyone else on the charter* NOT to. That way it will be faster! :D ----- * except my friends, so we can stay in touch onboard
