St.Martins beach

We will be on the Seranade in four weeks,my question is the beach open in town off of the ferry dock?

We were there about 10 days ago on Grandeur, first RCI ship since the hurricane. Beach was open, but many of the shops/bars in the area were still closed. Boats washed ashore, roofs missing, windows blown out - a lot of serious damage. It was rainy, windy and a little cool that day, very few pax in town. The locals were very welcoming, just not a good day for visitors.
