Is there a place to go not crawling with tourists?

I will be in Tortola in March and was there by private yacht charter years ago. Then, we were able to time our trip to avoid cruise ship crowds but this time it is not possible.

 

As beautiful as the Baths are, I am hoping for something more private. Just beach and water and maybe a place to rent a chair. I am happy to pay for privacy.

 

Is there anyone out there who found somewhere like this?

We rented a car and drove out to Smuggler's Cove. There were very few people there, beautiful beach, and a great snorekling reef. We didn't use it, but there was chair rental and a drink/snack cart.

 

Renting a car on Tortola is an adventure. You have to drive on the left, and we had a 5-speed on very hilly roads. Not for everyone but we had a good time with it.

Back in May, we took a $6.00 bus ride each way for adults( 25 minute ride) to Cane Garden Bay and loved it....Beautiful waters and not crowded at all. Had bar/food and restrooms. They rent chairs, lounges, umbrellas and rafts. The driver picked us back up so we didn't have to worry about catching a cab. We did not book this ahead of time. When you get off of the ship, there are plenty of buses and taxis waiting for you!

 

We are going back to Tortola in March on the Dawn this time and will most likely go back here again!
