Does Minimum Bid Change?

From my limited experience, no; I suspect that they would lose money that way.

For instance: I was booked in an Aft Haven Pentouse with Master (H6); it was a minimum $500pp upgrade bid for a 2-bedroom Family Villa (H4). The price of the H4 dropped dramatically, but the minimum upgrade bid has not. Because of the drop in price, I simply called my TA, and I upgraded to an H4 for about $400 total. Had I done the upgrade bid (and been successful), I would have been furious.

In fact, since since upgrading, my bidding options have not changed.

In my experience and that of several friends and family, where cabin prices have fallen within the 90-day final payment period NCL would not let us upgrade by simply paying the difference to the reduced fare.
