bayou cruiser Posted January 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Help! I normally use my rewards points for onboard credit when we cruise. I've never used them for a free cruise, but I'd like to do that this year. Any suggestions on how to get the most bang for the buck (points) on a free cruise? It's very hard to get the max value from a fre cruise anymore, because they will revert the prices back to the fake base price when you try to apply that redemption anymore. They will also remove any balcony discount. In other words, they try very hard to minimize the value of the redemption. I'd use the redemption for OBC or straight discount. Those can be applied to the fake sale prices and you can still keep your C&A balcony discount.
kccrzr Posted January 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Glad to see this asked and answered. I was wondering whether I would be making a mistake redeeming points for the discount rather than a free cruise.
