Venice airport to Best Western Bologna + cruise terminal to airport

We are a family of 6: 2 adults in their late 60's (not the best mobility), 2 daughters, 1 son-in-law and 1 toddler aged 2 at time of travel. In addition to a large piece of luggage and carry-on for each of us, we'll have a car seat and stroller, so we'll be quite loaded down.

 

We'll be flying into Marco Polo airport at the end of August and staying at the Best Western Bologna. They have a shuttle for 40 Euros per person which seems very expensive. Could someone please recommend other options?

 

Also, we'll disembark on a Sunday morning. What options do you recommend? I tried to find car rental companies since we'll be in Italy for the next week, but none are available on the island of Venice, so we're hoping we can rent a car at the airport.
