I know hair dryers are provided, but from past experience my thick hair takes forever to dry using the one in the cabin. Has anyone taken their own hair dryer? Were you able to use it or was it sent to the naughty room? Thanks!

I've taken mine before and I've been fine. I need all the extra room I can get in my bag so I no longer take it!

To answer your question specifically: yes. You can take your own hair dryer. That said, they have improved a bit in recent years. Not only did mine used to take a long time to dry, but it was easy to have long hair sucked into the back of those little dryers. Haven't had those problems on my last four or five cruises.

The hair dryer provided is fine for me but my daughters refuse to use them and carry their own. They have a travel dryer that is quite powerful and it takes up very little space in the luggage.

I have very thick hair and used the provided dryer recently on Adventure of Seas cruise. It worked fine - not as powerful as my own but OK to dry/style my hair.
