AmandaLMcL Posted January 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2018 Are there quizes on P and O? (Pub quiz, music quiz, etc?)
john watson Posted January 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2018 (edited) Yes, general knowledge, themed quizzes, puzzles, battle of the sexes team quiz, music quiz etc. etc. Morning, lunchtime and evening ones at that. Some are hosted by sports team; example question: "What nationality is Sebastian Vettel or Wettel as the Germans say it?" Evening trick questions quiz in a bar setting not serious, example question: "What is a Shih Tzu?" Answer was "One that does not have any animals". ann141 Posted January 9, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 9, 2018 There is also a nightly quiz called The Syndicate Quiz which usually takes place each evening at 10 30 and is for teams of up to 6 people. We enjoy it as we prefer team quizzes rather than individual and it is a good way of getting to know a few people with the incentive of a bottle of wine each night for the winning team
dgs1956 Posted January 10, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 10, 2018 There is no shortage of quizzes. Several during the course of a day, in fact they form the main part of daytime entertainment for P&O cruises.
davecttr Posted January 10, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 10, 2018 On Aurora one man won the individual cruise every day. I was told he was a frequent cruiser and memorized all the answers knowing that they would be asking the same questions this summer as last. Kind of takes the enjoyment away for everyone else. Maybe if you win you automatically lose one point next quiz, also 2 points for 2 consecutive wins etc

Maybe the entertainment team should think of new quizzes every season...not that hard to google some !

zoe sproodle Posted January 10, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 10, 2018 To be fair I think they do introduce new material occasionally. There was a geography quiz on our last cruise which we expected to be the same as one we'd done a few times before but was new to us...
vwgolf Posted January 22, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 22, 2018 The difficulty varies too. We've had questions varying from "what's the capital of France?" to "who was Minister for Education when the 1944 Education Act was passed?". (Paris and Richard Butler, in case you are interested!).
