I just booked a cruise through our big box TA but used Canadian site to price/research first. Online, the default selection is drink package and wifi. You have to deselect wifi by clicking in the upper left corner, then select the OBC. Also received a $310 gift card in addition to the above.

 

I wasn’t able to deselect anything even though the check box was there. I’m sure one could call Celebrity direct or use a TA. I got a significantly better deal through my TA anyway.

I booked a few days ago. I had everything set online, was ready to pay my deposit, when I remembered I received a welcome home note from my newly assigned personal Celebrity cruise planner, Ryan Wilkinson. So I put the cabin on courtesy hold and I'm so glad I did. Ryan saved me a few extra dollars and gave me a Captain's Club upgrade. He was very nice to work with.

 

I know they upped the price of the cruise to add in the drink packages. It works for us because we would have bought them anyway, and there's still some savings over the regular price. All the cruise lines play their marketing games.
