JimAOk1945 Posted January 19, 2018 #26 Share Posted January 19, 2018 do they realy wash them? Good question.
Grandma Dazzles Posted January 19, 2018 #27 Share Posted January 19, 2018 I find them too scratchy, unless you happen to get a fairly new one; remind me of old towels! I use my swimsuit coverup as double duty, unless I am light on packing, which rarely happens, and then I throw in a light one from home.

Thank you for the suggestion. Now I may ditch the lightweight robe I had packed. Not so good for Alaska ...glad I had the robe then and the lap blankets which I went immediately to the pool area and brought a couple back to our room :)
Tenn4ever Posted January 19, 2018 Author #29 Share Posted January 19, 2018 We never use them either... The only time I put one on, it was very itchy. I am not sure if it was the fabric or it wasn't rinsed very well in the wash. Either way, it is very easy for me to bring my own :) So funny. The robes we've had on Celebrity have been fresh smelling and wonderfully soft. :D
livetheatre Posted January 20, 2018 #30 Share Posted January 20, 2018 We’ve only done one other cruise (NCL) and robes were in our balcony room. Hoping we can get them next week in our Superior Balcony. They are lovely for balcony time. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Grandma Dazzles Posted January 20, 2018 #31 Share Posted January 20, 2018 If having a robe is really important to you would suggest taking your own. As pointed out earlier in the thread, you can request, but don't count on being available, especially as a first-time cruiser with RC. They are available to platinum C&A and up members and suite guests. Your steward may or may not be able to supply.

squadron Posted January 23, 2018 #33 Share Posted January 23, 2018 If we are ever on the same cruise as you, I will give you our robes. We never use them. Agreed! They are huge (one size fits everybody !)Also, are so heavy .
1interpreter Posted January 29, 2018 #34 Share Posted January 29, 2018 Platinum and above C&A members receive robes in their cabin. If you are not eligible your cabin steward may be able to get if you ask. Can depend on how many have been issued already. We are now Diamond and I can't remember the last time we had robes. Really not that big of a deal to me though since I'm not a robe wearing kinda lady except for sometimes in the winter. I love to sit on the balcony in the morning and at night but in the caribbean, it's just to humid for a robe
