Delta changed our flights. Need Advice

We had flights booked on Delta for 1/10/06. Delta has changed the flights giving us 25 minutes for a change of connection time. I guess this is not legal and probably not physically possible. We now have a three hour layover in Atlanta as our only option. We were told that our tickets are non-refundable. We have flights from Syracuse to Atlanta to PBI. If we found a better flight into FLL, could we ask for that? What can we do about this?

Hoppelk - We have had flights changed many times and usually if you call the airline as soon as you find out about the change and tell them your concerns you can get your flights changed back to something that will work better for you. (If the airline does have other flights available.)

Call Delta immediately, explain the 25 minute connection, and ask for different flights. You can certainly suggest the FLL flight, if it is on Delta. Your tickets are non-refundable, but flight changes which result in illegal connections should be changed free of charge. Delta will not change airlines, nor dates but will generally listen to all reasonable suggestions.

Called Delta and suggested a flight from Atl to Fll instead of PBI. As long as the flight was on the same day and same approximate time of day, they approved for no charge. I was pleased that keeping the customer happy was important to Delta.
