Seating for anytime dining

On a previous cruise, we had a group of ten from our roll call that wanted to be seated together in the YTD section of the dining room. We typically met up outside the MDR entrance at around 5:45. One of us would ask the hostess if we could be seated together. At 6:00, when the dining room opened, we were escorted to a table for ten. On one occasion, we had to wait until about 6:10 - 6:15 to be seated. I don't know if the hostess will be able to accommodate a group of 12 or not. Your best bet would be to go to the MDR soon after boarding on Embarkation Day and talk to the Maitre D and ask if they can seat your group together, and what would be the best time to arrive. Worse case scenario, you'll have two adjacent tables. One with seating for 8 and one with seating for 4. But you won't know until you ask.
