Why is the Rhapsody still docked?

Just noticed on the Galveston Harbor webcam that the Rhapsody is still in dock this Monday morning. From the meet and mingle board it looked as though there was a cruise this week. Anyone know what's going on?

My mom just told me that she heard that a cruise ship was being held in port because of illnesses on board. Maybe they were talking about the Rhapsody. I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

I think that is the Splendour of the Seas.

Its the splendour she is sailing on a five night western caribbean. from12/19 to12/24

The Splendour of the Seas is scheduled to sail this evening from Galveston and is scheduled to be back in Galveston 12-24. I don't know about the sickness issue but I bet you will be sailing soon.

I didn't realize the Splendor was here either! Yeah for Galveston!:) As far as the news report about illness on a cruise ship, as soon as I hear more info, I'll pass it along. ;)

The "hazmat suit" is too funny. Do me a favor and Please write a review when you return. I will be sailing on her for the first time in January. If you want to find out where most of the cruise ships are on any given day go to http://www.cruisecal.com. Have a great cruise.

This cruise is a 5 nighter. We were on a 5 nighter on the 10th. The ship is not scheduled to leave until 6pm (i think). So all seems normal to me, unless someone knows of another problem. I hope it's not the norovirus, because everything seemed fine last week.

Its definitely not the Rhapsody docked there because I saw her leave yesterday on the webcam.

We were on the Splendour 4 nighter on 12/1. There are hand sanitizers at the entrance of the Windjammer and at the stairs where the dining rooms are. We used them faithfully and never had a problem. You were not allowed in the Windjammer unless you used it.

My sister was on the Splendour repo cruise from Barcelona to Galveston in November. She had a great time but over 100 people came down with norovirus, luckily she did not. She noticed that in the Windjammer, people were getting up and their tables were not wiped down while other passengers took their places. Unfortunately quite a few people were ill but never went to the infirmary for fear of being quarantined to their cabins. Very selfish and put the rest of the passengers at risk, IMHO.

Hi, Bonnie. Jumping in here gives me a chance to say Merry Christmas! You can check out the webcams on http://www.galveston.com. It's kind of fun. The morning of my last cruise, I was able to watch the ships dock before we left for Galveston.
