Any poker tournaments on board?

Sailing on the Star January 29th...has anyone ever seen any poker rooms or tournaments on a Princess cruise? Just curious if they exist. Saw in the casino reviews the table variations like Caribbean Stud poker are available, but I would be more interested in a Hold 'Em or Hi-Lo table / tournament.

 

By the way, are the table game (blackjack, caribbean stud, craps, etc) limits at the casino normally $5 at all times or do they vary?

Most of the recent cruises we have been on they usually have a blackjack tournament. They are probably pretty easy to run and control (timewise) ... on a preset number of hands... Donot remember poker.. but I do not spend a lot of time in the casino...:D

Grand Princess is the only ship in the fleet that has a poker room that I am aware of. They held two Hold 'Em tournaments during an 11-day cruise.

According to the Ocean Players Club web site, poker is available on the Grand, Diamond and Sapphire. In addition, poker is coming "soon" to the Sun and Dawn.

Was on the Star in Nov. and no poker rooms. ONly Blackjack and slot tournaments.
