Places to eat in Nausau

Going to Nausau for again this year in Oct. Last year we spent the day at Atlantis but this year we'd like to do some shopping and have a nice lunch. Any suggestions? A view and/or really awesome food would be great.

I have two places in mind. In the straw market two-tiered shopping area, on the patio level, there is a little cafe w/lots of outside tables w/umbrellas. I THINK the name of it is "Bahama Sun". Last time I was there (it's been a coupla years), they had the best 'sampler' platter. I remember conch chowder, shrimp sandwiches, and an assortment of bite-size desserts.

Also - There is (or was when I was there) a restaurant called Pier One (or maybe Pier 1), at the harbor. It's at the end of a short pier, and is surrounded by water. The seafood was absolutely wonderful. I had conch prepared several different ways, but they have a 'catch of the day' special, and lots of other entrees.

As I said, it's been a coupla years, so I'm assuming they are both still in operation. icon_confused.gif
