joy2travel Posted January 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2018 Going on a cruise with my 18 year old granddaughter and was thinking about doing this tour with her. Would like to know if you have to be able to swim. I'm not a swimmer but she is. Has anyone been on this particular tour?
Tiggerilla Posted May 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2018 I did this tour in November and one of the people in our group opted to skip the snorkeling portion. For the sting ray portion, the water is only about 3-4' deep to be able to hold the sting rays. Hope this helps. :)
Rare mitsugirly Posted June 28, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 28, 2018 We did this and you would have to swim somewhat (although they have life jackets) for the snorkeling portion, but the stingray and beach part, you can stand up in. The beach is gorgeous and we definitely enjoyed our day there. I have a complete review of our day there with TONS of pictures in my signature line if you are interested. capncarp Posted July 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted July 5, 2018 We were looking at Gibbs Cay for an excursion (trip got cancelled) because two of our party are mobility impaired; it would have been great to have them able to interact with the rays without having to clamber down a ladder. Rare mitsugirly Posted August 11, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2018 Was this a ship's tour or private? Cheers Len Mine was private, located right at the beach the cruise ship pulls up to.
