Elevator at Venezia

Cruisemom42 or others,

We have been to the monument before (Vittorio II or Wedding Cake) and taken the inside elevator to the first level overlook. This time we know of the other one that goes to the top. I'm wondering if we can go inside to that little elevator to the first level and then walk around to the back for the other elevator. Or do we have to go around on the street to the back of the monument and go up the stairs for the passage between the church and the monument?

Thanks

You go inside to the lift which takes you up to the first level. If I remember correctly it stops opposite the entrance to the military museum. From there you go outside on the first level and to the left is the lift which takes you up to the top. For this lift there is a charge.
