Cabin temp on Breeze

First time for Breeze, leaving on Sunday, Feb. 4, out of Galveston. We are in an Ocean View. How cool can you get the cabin at night? I tend to "run hot" and like the temp pretty cold at night. On other Carnival ships it seems like the range is about 74 - 78 degrees, which is way too warm for me! I take a very small fan so at least I can have that circulating the air. Even when I call Guest Services and they send someone to check the a/c, they say that's as cool as it gets. What has your experience been on the Breeze?

Since this is a Premier cruise for me, I will be in the casino most of the time, so how is the temp in there?

We were on the Breeze in June and had a small fan and felt the temp was ok but not quite as cool as I prefer it. We were back on the Breeze 12/31 sailing when it was cold rainy almost the whole time so that helped and the room stayed much cooler and was perfect. I would definitely take a small fan as it helps. We went to the casino every evening after dinner for quite a while and the temp was ok not to cool usually, think I only used a light sweater once or twice. Have fun and leave some money in the casino for us to win on our 2/25 sailing! lol

We were on the Breeze in a balcony last week and had no issues controlling the temperature. It was cold when we boarded and we were able to warm up the cabin easily. It got really cold if you turned the temp all the way down. We kept in the mid range and found it to be very comfortable.

The public rooms were freezing. My husband ended up wearing his sport coat most nights because it was so cold in the dining room, Steakhouse, Cucina del Capitano, casino and Atrium lobby. I ended up wearing a sweater over long sleeves!

I was on the Breeze last week too. Cabin temp was turned all the way down when I boarded. Moved it up to just about the middle and was comfortable. I found too that public areas were a bit chilly for me (my late husband would have loved it that way). I had forgotten to bring a little light weight hoodie that I would normally wear around the ship so I bought a zippered hoodie in the gift shop. I wore it a lot in the public areas, except when I was dressed up, then I had a dressier cardigan.

Temperatures and food, very subjective! I'll add that the hot/cold sense for any one indidual can vary from hour to hour and from ship's venue to a cabin. I've watched people put on a sweater or coverup during dinner, then take it off, then put it back on again, then take it off, and the meal only lasts 90 minutes.

Just off the Breeze last weekend and I was impressed that our room thermostat was very responsive. We turned it down at night to keep cool and usually had to turn it up during the day because it got chilly. I'm not sure the actual temperatures because I didn't have a thermometer.

Have sailed on the Breeze 4 times all in July and August, southern and western routes which are obviously very warm. One trick I learned from a friend of mine was to take a few pieces of paper and place then infront of the vent on the inside of the door. The amount of air flow will hold the paper on the vent by itself but we use to secure it with some tape for when the door would open, breaking the seal. By doing this it seemed to keep the room cooler. This was on Deck 10 cabin 10286 (Lido) every time. We always felt the Breeze and Magic (Same Class) were very warm ships compared to the Vista which has great cabin temp controls.
