PARASAILING IN MEXICO, what is the age requirement.....anybody know???

These activities are normally run by independent operators that set up shop on the beach for the day. (The same operator will often work the same stretch of beach as long as there is a steady business.)

I don't believe there is a minimum age. The real limiting factor wil be the proper fit of the harness and a proper weight-to-parachute ratio. My wife is 4'10" and they used a smaller `chute and had her try several harness' before they & she felt comfortable with the fit. Another factor will be how long your child's arms are. The landing will likely involve some steering of the `chute to make sure you land where they want you. This involves reaching up and pulling one of the rear parachute lines to spill air in the direction they want you to go. You must be able to reach the line and have the strength to pull the line.

DW is deathly afraid of heights. We watched the same operator for several years in PV before she said "this one looked safe enough to try".
