Amsterdam - Port to Airport

Good day all. Wife and I are on our first TA in April. RCCL Brilliance of the Seas out of Tampa. We are staying in Amsterdam for a day and flying back to the states the next day. I have a reservation at the Hilton hotel at Schiphol airport. Plan is upon disembarking to head to the hotel, drop luggage there and head back to the city. What is the best recommended way to get to the airport / hotel? We don't particularly want to go via city bus. Is there a prearranged car or shuttle service that you can book? Uber? Taxi? Train?

 

Also, best way to get back to the city center from the airport?

Why stay at the airport when there are tons of great hotels in the city?

Indeed you can get a cab at the cruise terminal or use Uber. Also you can prebook a regular cab a.o. through this website:https://www.tcataxi.nl/en/home.html

Besides there are many frequent trains to/from Centraal Station to/from Schiphol. Buy tickets on the machines or with a small surcharge at the window.https://www.ns.nl/en

There are no city buses from the cruiseterminal to the airport. There is a bus to/from the airport to Leidseplein and Museumplein however: https://www.connexxion.nl/amsterdam-airport-express/1241

Thank you so much for the links. Couple reasons for the airport hotel:

 

1. Loyal to Hilton (racking up points for a South Pacific vacation, have about 250k so far).

2. On fly away day, we are right there so we can sleep in and not worry about transport to the airport.

There is a hilton hotel in Amsterdam as well (a little outside city center) and numerous doubletree/hampton hotels in the city center. I can imagine you don't want to worry about transport.... but you are still worrying about transport!! This time not on the day you are flying back, but the day before when you want to unwind and see Amsterdam.

 

Rest assured: Amsterdam Schiphol airport is very convienently located and easy accessible by car, train, taxi, uber etc. Its just a short ride even on departure day.

If you stay near the airport, you can purchase a transit pass that allows unlimited travel on the train and other modes of transport. The airport train is fast and efficient. The cruise port is quite near Amsterdam's main train station, Centraal Station.
