Jackplot Posted February 1, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2018 I will be traveling with friends on the Western Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon. I have a couple of questions. Can anyone recommend the best excursions from Alicante, Spain, Malaga, Spain and Lisbon Portugal? I am not as familiar with these ports as I am some of the others. Also, has anyone ever done excursions through companies outside of the cruise line? And if so, who would you recommend? Any help at all will be greatly appreciated! Grant2000 Posted February 1, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 1, 2018 The hop-on hop-off bus service in Alicante and Lisbon are both quite good. There are bus stops located quite near the cruise terminals. https://cruiseports.ca/spain/
Rare mskaufman Posted February 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Alicante is a great DIY port. You can walk to the castle and take the elevator to the top. Great views of the city and the beach. There is also a pedestrian walkway. Of course you could go to the beach. From Malaga you can go to Granada. If you are in Malaga late, the city lights up nicely at night.
