majesty of the seas - inner cabin quad......don't book it

we just got back from majesty of the seas cruise (3 day 12/16-12/19). there were 4 adults in a quad room inner cabin. there was no room for their clothing..............there was not enough room in the closet for clothes. they felt very claustraphobic and said next time they will get 2 ocean view cabins instead of trying to save money and get a quad room.

oh we were on the 6th floor in the middle of the ship and i would not recommend staying on the 6th floor. although it was great to be a few steps away from the shops and the casino the jogging track was on the 7th floor and all times of the day and night people were walking fast or jogging and it sounded like herds of elephants marching on our heads.

Gotta question for you laurasmom. My best friend and I are booked on a 4 night cruise on the Majesty for Spring Break on March 6, '06. I was wondering if a inside room was big enough for 2 people plus clothes. We are taking 1 big suitcase each and then our bookbags for carry-ons.

i think it would be big enough for 2 people. just don't over pack. there is a closet. i suggest bringing extra hangers so you can hang most of your clothes.

there is a desk which has drawers which they consider to also be the dresser and the drawers are pretty small.

click below under my signature and you can see what an inside cabin will look like it is the same as the quad.

This ship is the same as Monarch, I could not agree more. We have been in the inside cabins once, it was so cramped, even for 2. Mind you , it was doable, but the slight space difference in the outside stateroom is all storage, larger closet and 3 more drawers. We now always book 2 outside cabins, one for us, one for our teenage kids when we go on this ship.

If you had asked before you cruised, I would have told you how cramped you would be. But, I know there are plenty of people on these boards who would tell you to go ahead, you're hardly ever in the cabin. Not so, you still have to be in there plenty of time when space is crucial. But, we do live and learn what's best for us.
