Transfer/shuttle companies from Airport to Condado area Hotel

Hi,

Can anyone recommend companies that will provide transport from the Airport in San Juan to the San Juan Marriott Hotel & Stellaris Casino in Condado.

When I do a google search, the fares I am getting are very expensive, or the companies are no longer working in the area. I am wondering if it would be easier for us to just wait until we land at the airport and try to get a taxi from the airport. We would be a party of 2 adults with luggage and a mobility scooter (which is collapsible), so the taxi at the airport would need to be either wheelchair accessible or big enough to accommodate us. Our flight does not arrive until 19.00.

TIA

I have no experience with the scooter issue, however getting taxis at the airport is very organized and easy to use. You do not have to walk very far once you have retrieved your luggage. As you exit the airport, they will have someone that will ask you how many people, how much luggage, etc and calculate the cost and then direct you to the next taxi that will be suitable for your party. It's one of the best set ups I've seen at an airport for catching a taxi. We always stay in the Condado area of San Juan and have tried our luck at the Marriott Casino. It looks like a gorgeous hotel and the staff we encountered were so friendly and kind.

Many thanks for your reply. I think we'll just go with the taxi once we've retrieved our luggage etc. My scooter, folds into the boot/trunk of a normal saloon car, so I'm sure there will be a taxi big enough to accommodate it plus the luggage.

Nowadays, most taxis at the airport are passenger vans which should be able to accommodate your space needs, if not, the dispatcher should be able to send for an standard sedan. Fares are fixed by trip (not passengers) and areas. If I'm not mistaken, Condado is in Area 3 so that would be around $18+ $1 per piece of luggage that does not travel on your lap. Although I don't have the slightest idea to be honest about how they charge for scooter. But It should not me too much.
