Galveston Embarkation Crowds

For those that have sailed on Liberty from Galveston, when was check-in the busiest? I will be traveling Feb 25th with 2 kids and a not-super-mobile grandma. Trying to find the right time to get to the terminal to maximize time on the ship but avoid the lines at check-in.

We try to arrive around 10 am. Would rather spend a little more time sitting and waiting than standing in line with so many more. Seems like busiest time is between 11 and 1. Always a relief once we are checked in and luggage is gone!

If you arrive around 10am to 10:30am, it will maximize time on the ship, but you will be running into traffic from people leaving the ship from the previous cruise.

I dropped my bags and walked to the town area - only a few short blocks - interesting town.

Second cruise, I also dropped my bags, then walked back to grab a bite from the little bistro beside the port and by 1 there were no crowds.

It seems to be congested with people leaving the ship more than some ports

I'm pretty sure we were in line around 11am and it only took maybe 25-30 mins total to be on the ship by the pool 😎
