CNABER Posted February 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2018 We are cruising in May 2019. I know, a ways away, but truly never to early to ask questions. This is my 1st cruise on RCI. I usually cruise Disney (LOVE THEM). I'm concerned about the recategorization of cabins. We are currently a 6D category Deck 11 and our room has already been assigned to us (ocean balcony state room) but as of May 2018 the category will be a 2D. Will this affect our room number in any way since the original 6D category rooms and the new 2D category rooms are not the same? Does RCI guarantee your room number or can they just put you anywhere as long as it's the same "category"? Thanks!!
Clarea Posted February 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2018 If you have a guarantee category and have already been assigned a stateroom, it would be very unusual for RC to change that stateroom assignment.
CNABER Posted February 7, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Thanks! I sure hope we stay where we are assigned!
deliver42 Posted February 7, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Unless you have a handicap cabin, you will be left alone. If you have a handicap, and someone really needs that, you can be moved.

If you have a handicap, and someone really needs that, you can be moved. Why would Royal move someone with a HC out of a HC cabin? deliver42 Posted February 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2018 They wouldn't. I was just trying to put the OP'S mind at ease instead of worrying about being changed.
