Ship excursion plus?

Hey there, sooo we'll be in StKitts at the end of April. We wanted to see some things, blah blehh. Now, we are semi-adventurous and have done non-ship excursions before. We were going to do a private tour this time but, blah blah.... now we are doing a ship excursion to do the train/bus tour to sightsee. Has anyone done this excursion and would we be back in time to get a taxi to take us around? Or would that kill most of the day? We are in port like 10am to 8,and says excursion is like 4 hours. TIA

This excursion will run a couple of times during the day when there are ships in port. You should have plenty of time for other activities if your train/bus excursion is the first run of the day.
