franu Posted December 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2005 What is the best time to visit The Galapagos Islands? Did the animals have their offspring? Was the water warm or cold? If you were to go there again, what time of the year would it be and why?
drfun48 Posted December 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2005 What is the best time to visit The Galapagos Islands? Did the animals have their offspring? Was the water warm or cold? If you were to go there again, what time of the year would it be and why? The only "bad" time would be the rainy season. You can get all the info you could ever possibly need by checkind out the Galapagos -Anyone recently back thread ...scroll a bit and you'll find it ,or do a search. I went in July and am going back next December to contrast two seasons although I really don't expect that much change except different young-uns.It's just an excuse to do my best vacation ever over again. OPSoccermom Posted December 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2005 We went in February - the weather was perfect and the water temp fine for diving in shortie wet suits. On a few days, we actually didn't need wet suits to snorkle. Wildlife was abundant.
susiesan Posted December 23, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2005 We just came back Monday and there was no rain at all. Temps in the low to mid 80's, water cold but wetsuits function fine. One naturalist said May was her favorite month, one said July. We'll go again in a season 6 months opposite of early Dec. next time. But just go-this is the best vacation you will ever take.
