thefog Posted December 23, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2005 Can carnival make up a table for nine people in the main dining room.We are having the whole family coming with us ?
aggieastrosfan Posted December 23, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 23, 2005 I've always been sat at a table for 10, so you shouldn't have any problems as long as your res. are tied together.
cheshyrkat Posted December 23, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 23, 2005 Most of the tables seat 8-10 so you shouldn't have much of a problem. Check your seating assignments on your S&S card when you get them to make sure they are all matching.
tef43 Posted December 23, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 23, 2005 Saw one last time out. They simply added another placesetting at the end of one of the long eight-tops.
caprcorn28 Posted December 24, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 24, 2005 Yep - we've done a table of nine - our family and our friends' family!
familyplanner Posted December 24, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 24, 2005 Depends on the ship your cruising. I was told it wasn't possible, but got them to make special arrangements through dining services.;)
TravelYoung Posted December 24, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 24, 2005 It is posable. Just let them ( carnival ) know that your reservations are together. its how I got our group together. They dont know untill you tell them.
Cotton Posted December 24, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 24, 2005 Well...actually, they DO know. Hopefully, you "linked" all your bookings when you booked the cruise. If they are linked, you'll all be seated together. That's the way it works. The largest tables are for 8 and 10. I would think they would seat you at a table for 10. Check your S&S card first thing, as Cheshyrkat suggested. IF they all don't have the same table number, go see the Maitre d' as soon as possible after boarding.:)
serene56 Posted December 24, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 24, 2005 does the conquest class ship have tables for 10? the most I seen was a table for 8.
momof4boys Posted December 24, 2005 #10 Share Posted December 24, 2005 We had a table for 9 on the Elation in July. Our two groups of 6 and 3 were linked together! Have a blast!:)
Cotton Posted December 24, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 24, 2005 Hey Serene!:) Y'know, I haven't been on the Conquest, but friends (family of 10) were last summer, and were all seated together at a round top for 10 in the center of the dining room. So, that's where I got my info.
Cruisin Oma Posted December 24, 2005 #12 Share Posted December 24, 2005 Do kids always eat at Camp Carnival? We have 10 adults and 3 kids. Since we are on the 1/1 Conquest sailing which looks sold out, we will probably have to take what we get. But does anyone have any recommendations on how to accomodate a party this big? Cruisin Oma Posted December 25, 2005 #15 Share Posted December 25, 2005 Camps feed kids for formal nights. on other nights it was closed from 5 til 7pm Hmm....We have the late seating so they will be open. I've never taken kids on board, but sat at a table where another couple had a child with them. He was never there for dinner. Just showed up for dessert every evening. We had 12 on our last cruise last week on the Elation.... Sorry if this is obvious, but were all 12 at one table?

Cotton Posted December 27, 2005 #19 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Wondering that myself. A ten top is VERY tight already. Can't imagine more than that...adding a side table, maybe, but....???
serene56 Posted December 27, 2005 #20 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Tables are bolted to the floor and can hardly be moved. We sat at two tables for 10 ofr my family and it was comfortable...could not imagine putting another person in there though.
cheshyrkat Posted December 27, 2005 #21 Share Posted December 27, 2005 I saw them add a small table to the end of a long one to accommodate a larger group when I was on Conquest.
Kpstill Posted December 27, 2005 #22 Share Posted December 27, 2005 We had 12 on our last cruise last week on the Elation.... Was it a round table for 10 that they fit two more at? We have 11 on our March sailing on the Destiny so I am very curious. Five are children so we can squeeze together. Maybe 1 more adult coming so I am a little concerned.
