We got a call from the upsell wizard on Monday for our upcoming Vista cruise starting Saturday. Went from an interior room on deck 7 to Spa balcony on deck 12 for $350. I had been looking at upgrading to a balcony about a few weeks ago and it would be $1000!

 

This is our second time we got an upsell offer. The last one came for a cruise we booked an interior room after cruising in in balcony. Seems interesting that both time we got the call we had interior rooms booked after having balconies on the previous cruise.

Not Diamond, but with 18 cruises we never had an upsell either. We did get upgraded from Balcony to Jr. Suite (found out at check-in) many years ago, it was in November shortly after 9/11, so pretty obvious they had many cancellations and moved people around last minute to fill cabins - but we appreciated the gesture. 3 more cruises now booked, doubt we'll get an upsell call on those.

Just got a call this morning from Carnival. We are sailing on Sunday on the Fascination from Puerto Rico. When we booked all balconies were sold. We took an inside on the 6th floor. Just upgraded to an ocean view on 7th floor for $50 total. Really wanted the balcony...........but hey, happy with the ocean view.

I’m hoping I get a call. Cruising in a few weeks and their are a ton of balconies left, including extended aft. I’ve never gotten a call but maybe I’ll get lucky [emoji256]
