mpdahmer Posted February 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Is there still incentives for booking a future cruise while onboard? We have done this in the past but had heard rumors that they were stopping the program. When we booked we got OBC as well as two friends/family vouchers for the same. Does anyone have recent experience with this?
mishka422 Posted February 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Sadly, it has been discontinued Sent from my SM-G925V using Forums mobile app
StolidCruiser Posted February 22, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 22, 2018 The benefits have been essentially discontinued. It would seem bookings are strong enough to no longer require a carrot be dangled to get guests to rebook.
mbglib Posted February 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 22, 2018 Now, you are given up to two weeks after your cruise to book a new one with $50 extra OBC. No friends vouchers though.
mpdahmer Posted February 22, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted February 22, 2018 I wonder how it all works...I am looking at a cruise for June "19" and my TA is offering $125.00 OBC. If I book it on the ship it will go through my TA but I don't know if I would get the $125. It would be silly to lose the $125 to get $50... Anyone have experience with this? I booked a cruise on a cruise and assigned the TA. I got the Carnival and TA credits.

TA's do things differently. Would ask them.
sept2405 Posted February 22, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 22, 2018 We were on the Elation a few weeks ago and my friend checked into booking while onboard and their price was $75 higher than the website. She came back and called Carnival and got it cheaper.
