Jthomasou Posted February 28, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2018 There was a really good French pastry shop on the French side of the island right where the cabs would drop you off. I’m 99 percent sure it was called Sarafinas. Does anyone know if it’s still there post Irma?
Amylynner Posted February 28, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2018 I just researched this myself as we are going back to the island in December. It looks like it was completely destroyed. If you look on their Facebook page it shows a before and after picture. They had the best pastries I have ever eaten. I hope they rebuild. We were there two years ago. Jthomasou Posted February 28, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2018 This was maybe our favorite little spot in the whole Caribbean to go. It’s so sad to see it like this. Hopefully they are rebuilding
Bosjoe Posted March 1, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2018 I was there 2 weeks ago, it is gone. Don’t know if they will rebuild.
chefchick Posted March 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 4, 2018 How was the rest of the French side? Are the restaurants, etc open and ready for business? Too bad about Serafinas
Bosjoe Posted March 5, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Here is a website that gets updated on what’s open for restaurants. http://www.stmartinisland.org/st-martin-restaurants/restaurants-saint-martin.html I’m not sure how often they update this.
