A ? about a cemetery

Someone told me about a cemetery that is guarded by peacocks is this Punchbowl are some other. It is on the island of Oahu, any info would be appreciated.

I even went to the National Cemetaries website to see if any mention of peacocks is listed. No Idea.

 

If you decide that its Punchbowl that youre looking for (MANY people go there like they would Arilington National Cemetary), we'd be happy to give information on that. If it's peacocks you want, the zoo has lots of free range peacocks.... :)

Could it have been Byodo-In Temple? I remember a pond out front with black swans and possible peacocks. It is off of Hwy 83 on east coast.

Maybe you're thinking of the Valley of the Temples in Kahaluu?

You are in fact referring to the Valley of the Temples, and more specifically the Byodo-in Temple and its gardens located on the grounds of the cemetery. It's just off Kahekili Highway in Kaneohe and is well worth a visit. This link will give you take you a photo gallery that will give you a general sense of what's there to see:

He said it was in a gated community on Oahu. I was not sure if this was Punchbowl are not. Thanks for the links and info on the Valley of the Temple.
