marshhawk Posted March 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2018 happens on the ship during the morning? We don't get into Grand Turk until noon. Is breakfast a regular port day or a brunch day? Are there activities going on in the morning, or is the atmosphere more laid back. Are the pools emptier than a sea day morning? Just trying to get a feel for the day-or are we cruising past scenic islands?

lcpagejr Posted March 2, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2018 Its just like a regular day...Activities will be scheduled until around 11am..... There will be no Sea Brunch because the hours for sea bruncn overlap with lunch. You really won't begin seeing land until your about 30' away.... so many people lounge around the pool for a couple hours, watch the ship come into port...then disembark when CD announces they are cleared to disembark. Or....just treat it like a Sea Day and you will have most of the ship to yourself and no lines for slides and other outside activities!!
RWolver672 Posted March 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2018 You really won't begin seeing land until your about 30' away.... I hope you mean miles and not feet. It's hard to judge distance at sea. We've always seen the island around an hour or so before we dock.

LOL....That was supposed to mean minutes!! Thanks for allowing me to clarify When you come into San Juan and Curacio for example ....there is really nothing until that island...Bahamas you will see outlying areas as you approach destination a bit earlier.
