Hairy Harry Posted December 26, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2005 To anyone who has cruised on Oceania's Nautica, are there laundry facilities available to passengers, such as washer, dryer and ironing board. Thanks.

shoshona2 Posted December 26, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 26, 2005 The laundry room is on the 7th deck and the hours are posted. You have to buy tokens from the front desk. Sheila

swanon Posted December 29, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2005 The laundry was closed for the first two days, then you have one iron for 685 passengers, and only two working washing machines it got bloody ugly they need to improve this big time. cruiseyguy Posted December 29, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 29, 2005 At least they have a laundry room. Several large "premium" lines, such as Celebrity don't.
pschmitt22 Posted December 31, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 31, 2005 You mentioned tokens are available for $1.50. Does it take one token per load?
Druke I Posted December 31, 2005 #10 Share Posted December 31, 2005 Pschmitt One token for the washer, one token for the dryer.
Mahogany Posted December 31, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 31, 2005 The reason Nautica's laundry was closed the first two days was because the ship was supplied with tokens that did not fit the machines. The staff had to refile all the wrong tokens to fit the machines! I was never in there when all four machines weren't working, but I agree one iron (and two ironing boards) wa inadequate. They were fixing that a few days before we disembarked. Swanon, you sure were cranky on that trip! Don't you know that when you cook for almost 700 passengers you can't overspice at the risk of sickening some passengers. For those of us, like ourselves, who like spicer food, we just added pepper or tabasco if it was too bland, but I sure wouldn't think of complaining about something that minor. I think I have a jar somewhere at home with old parking tokens, pinball arcade tokens, bus tokens, etc. :) :) :)
