I just got off the Freedom Saturday and just posted something about this earlier today. It was worth it for me. I never had a problem accessing Facebook. I posted several pictures from the ship. The only thing I wasn't able to do was post videos. This is the first cruise I have used the social plan. I would doit again especially to just get my news fix(see link to my other post)

used this last year on the Freedom and it worked great..posted a few pics on facebook and used facebook to IM back home....I thought it was well worth it!

I think it depends on what you need it for. Two cruises we didn’t haven any package but the last one we left our youngest behind and I got the social package so I could check in on him from time to time. I was able to send iMessages and twitter messages so that worked for us. Sometimes it was faster than others if I checked twitter but I was there to relax and disconnect.

It was awesome on Magic - it let me stay in touch with family & friends, posted my daily journal & a few pics (yes my family & friends enjoy it) - mostly used FB.
