Shoos3 Posted December 27, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 27, 2005 I know that you can board the Serenade throughout the day even though it does not leave port until 10:00pm. Does anyone know what time the Seaview Cafe & Windjammer open? Debating whether to stop off from the airport for a late lunch before boarding. Patfan Posted December 27, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Windjammer will be open. What I intend on doing is checking in around 11 or noon, getting settled and you can leave the ship just like a shore excursion.
G-Bone Posted December 27, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 27, 2005 We just got off of the Serenade on 12/17 and you can eat as soon as you get on. We boarded to ship around 1:30 and it was open. This is a great ship and a great Itin so get ready.
FCOWHER Posted December 27, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 27, 2005 G-bone, do you recall if the Sea View cafe was open on day one? Joe V.
G-Bone Posted December 27, 2005 #6 Share Posted December 27, 2005 We did not go to the sea view cafe first thing, I do remember that there were times posted out side the door. When you get a chance go to the thread called " The captian of the Serenade was showing off" and get ready for a awesome cruise.
Shoos3 Posted December 27, 2005 Author #7 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Patfan, If you leave the ship do you have to wait on lines to get back on or is it an easy process like when returning from an excursion?
Ocean Boy Posted December 27, 2005 #8 Share Posted December 27, 2005 Patfan, If you leave the ship do you have to wait on lines to get back on or is it an easy process like when returning from an excursion? If you mean leaving the ship in San Juan after checking in, it is a very simple process to return to the ship. You just show your seapass card as at any other port of call and bypass the lines of people checking in. Oh, sorry, I just saw that you addressed your question to a specific person. G-Bone Posted December 27, 2005 #9 Share Posted December 27, 2005 The problem is that the Pan American pier has nothing to see. The peir over by Old San Juan is a better pier, you can walk to everything.

Eileen G Posted December 28, 2005 #11 Share Posted December 28, 2005 The Seaview was not open for lunch on day one. I believe it opened in the evening.
