St. Petersburg + Moscow Three Day Tour

Hi all,

 

Sailing Oceania Marina in June which stops in St. P for three days. I booked a three day tour, with the middle day going to Moscow. It's a long day - 6am leave from ship returning at midnight.

 

Has anyone taken a similar tour and can provide feedback?

I did the tour to Moscow about 3 years ago with Best Guides. It was really a long day. We had a 4 hour ride (one way) by SAPSAN train. The seats are comfortable, there is a buffet (coffee and snacks).

Moscow is very different from St. Petersburg. Kremlin is huge! You must see Moscow to get a full impression of Russia.

Any suggestions on having breakfast prior to a 6am leave to Moscow? Maybe thinking of ordering sandwiches from room service the night before. Even if food is impossible, at minimum we will need coffee! Does anyone know when the espresso bar opens? I don't think the tour company offers anything until lunchtime.
