Shipboard Credit Question when it is given Per Person

Have cruised many times on other lines but never been given an SBC by the cruise line per person only by cabin. So charges would go against the total SBC for the cabin regardless of who made them.

On an upcoming cruise MSC has givern my self and my husband an SBC of $300 per person .

Do I have to be concerned about who makes the charge ie if one person charged $500 would they apply it against the total of the 600 leaving a total SBC of 100 or would they show that passenger A owed the cruise line $200 in actual money at tg e end of the cruisr while passenger B at the end of the cruise still had a sbc of 300, anf if not refundable we could end up owing $. If this was one of the other lines RCL etc I know it would be treated as a total for the cabin regardless of who made the charges but hate to take anything for granted with MSC's accounting methods.

Just want to be sure

We've always received a OBC/SBC by cabin...not individually. We sail on Seaside in a few weeks and received a cabin OBC. That being said....I am pretty certain these amounts will be combined and show a $600 SBC .... Usually you register 1 credit card per cabin..... so I can't see how they can separate. When do you sail?? Have they sent you a email link with your documents? My documents showed the OBC when they sent the link to print to me..... Just stated the amount which has been credited to our cabin.

We do have our electronic documents even though we don't sail until May 5th. They include 2 sections noted as SBC vouchers for the $300 each with both our names noted on each voucher. Am assuming we don't have to do anything with these, but not a problem will ask the YC concierge when we check in and register our card. Which based on your good point of only one card being registered don't see how they would segregate SBC

If only one of you registers as responsible for the bill, then the total OBC will be included on that account, as long as you register your other half on the account. You will be prompted to do so at the kiosk when registering your credit card.

ETA Have you followed the thread on how to cash OBC in the casino?

I sailed in January with a friend. We each registered our own cards for our shipboard accounts. We had $150 OBC per cabin so I went to Guest Services to have it split between the two accounts. They would not do it.. I then went to the casino and took out the money against my account and took $75 cash to Guest Services and had the money applied to my roommates account.

I will only be registering one card so looks like it should be no problem.

Not sure there will be much left to cash out at the casino, after internet purchases (used to RCL unlimited internet and ability to stream movies even the new MSC 6 gig packages would use up quite quickly),the tips and a birthday celebration [emoji4]

Thanks for the suggestions
