1fifthavenue Posted March 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Hi all We're cruising on Fantasia soon. I note that the Social internet package which provided unlimited access to the social networking sites can't be bought online. Is it available to purchase on the ship? traceytd Posted March 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 13, 2018 I was wondering the same thing... if so, how much $ and can you get a discount because of your status( voyagers club Gold)? Sent from my iPad using Forums
Hey Tina Posted March 13, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2018 I don't believe that package is available anymore. They now have two packages, standard and premium.
luka31 Posted March 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2018 Hi, do you know the price onboard of the packages standard and premium? Thx
mSev7n Posted March 14, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Here is the pricing online, not sure onboard. Still wondering how registering devices works. On NCL you could only be on one device at a time, but could log in and out to use on “unlimited” devices - just not at the same time. Mostly wanting to see if I can get around the 2 device limit on the $79 package when only actively using two devices at a time but being able to switch which active device I need at the time. (ie where me and my partner have internet on phones, but if work needs me I can swap out internet access from my phone to my surface and when I’m done flip it back to my phone) Also, I’ve seen where others have said after the new plans went active they had been upgraded from the $49 surfer and $79 streamer plan to the new $79 standard plan once onboard as the old plans are no longer usable. 1fifthavenue Posted March 14, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted March 14, 2018 Interesting thing is, had an email with an offer from MSC UK to book a cruise for this winter and get free social media internet!
Memsy87 Posted September 3, 2018 #7 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Can anyone clear this up as to how much the WiFi is for a 7 night cruise ? It says 2 devices, but what if there’s 1 phone ? Surely you can’t be charged per person ?
rednose Posted September 3, 2018 #8 Share Posted September 3, 2018 I purchased one premium internet package for 4 devices for £65 a week ago for the same cruise you are on. Two tablets and two phones. They will not know who is using any device so cannot charge per person.
TnTom Posted September 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted September 4, 2018 I really do like the way MSC does their Internet packages. Instead of buying a block of time, you are buying a block of data. With the old "timed" plans, it was really easy to blow through your minutes because of slow connections, or because you somehow failed to get logged out. Those days are gone when you pay for blocks of data. I am not sure, but I think blocks cost the same- no matter how long the cruise is (someone please correct me if that is wrong). It is just that you have to ration yourself a little more on longer itineraries. The amount of data provided in the packages is fairly ample, though... so unless you are streaming or downloading big files, they should be adequate. Tee & Chilli Posted September 4, 2018 #10 Share Posted September 4, 2018 Can you stream movies from Netflix with the premium package?

You can buy one package and two people use two different devices and at the same time. We usually purchase the standard package and use 1 device each.
