RCI/Carnival Cruiser Looking For NCL Recommendations

Hello to all! I have been a member here for awhile but, I have never posted in this forum. I have been on several cruises with RCI/Carnival but, am considering a change next year. What NCL ship would you recommend for my first time and why?

 

Edited to add: We are a married couple in our 50's. Not dare devils. We enjoy entertainment shows/comedy clubs, having a few cocktails and laying in the sun while reading. We have done big ships and small ones but, prefer mid to large.

My wife and I (upper 40's) had a wonderful time on the Escape last week. The ports could have been more interesting, but the ship was great. I did a short review here.

escape or bliss for first timer, although I think you'll do fine on any ship. I haven't booked a Carnival cruise in a few years, NCL and MSC have had much better deals. (I type that having $1200 of CCL gift cards in my sock drawer)

I you like ships like Carnival Miracle or Legend or Grandeur of the Seas, you will like ships like the Norwegian Gem and that class.

 

If you like Carnival Breeze or RCI Voyager Class or Quantum Class, then you will like the Breakaway Class.

Go for one of the newer mega ships. They are equivalent to RCI Quantum-class ship. The newest is the Bliss. Then the Escape.

Depending on when and from where you are going, look at Encore, Bliss, Escape, Getaway, or Breakaway.
