CoralReef Posted March 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 22, 2018 thanx clubber, hope the cab drivers know their rates and flat rates as well....... No worries — at the airport and port, you tell the dispatcher where you are going and how many pieces of luggage, and he gives you a ticket you can show the driver, showing exactly what you owe. From hotels, the hotel will call a driver with whom they have an arrangement, so you don’t have to worry there either.

monorail81 Posted May 27, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 27, 2018 What about tolls? I saw something about the passenger being responsible for tolls...
Stinger-pr Posted May 28, 2018 #9 Share Posted May 28, 2018 What about tolls? I saw something about the passenger being responsible for tolls... There are no tolls between the airport/ Isla Verde/ Condado/ Old San Juan/ Convention Center areas. That basically applies to fares that involve traveling outside the main metro area. Stinger-pr Posted May 28, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 28, 2018 https://sanjuanpuertorico.com/taxis/ Here is some taxi info and prices. I really don't know how accurate the chart provided on that website is for quoting fares by zones since almost half of it states that travel between at least half of the zones is metered. AFAIK, all taxi service between the airport and the Isla Verde/ Condado/ Convention Center/ Miramar (hotels)/ Old San Juan is fixed and has not been metered in ages. Fares from any of these zones to a point outside the zones ARE metered with a few exceptions like Plaza Las Americas shopping mall which has a set rate to/from those zones. mchin Posted June 25, 2018 #11 Share Posted June 25, 2018 Any idea about the cost of taxi from The Condado Plaza Hilton to PanAm Pier? We are traveling with 13 next year and trying to determine if it's cheaper to get a service to pick all of us up or just take individual taxis across since the hotel is relatively close.
