Zika Concerns in the Caribbean. Update please?

Hi -

We just booked 17 of us on a June cruise to Cozumel, Montego Bay and Grand Cayman.

Also, just found one in our party is pregnant.

CDC is still advising NO TRAVEL to Mexico or surrounding areas due to Zika.

Now we are all wondering if we need to cancel out of concern for the safety of her and her baby?

The cruise was a gift and everyone was so excited.

I would welcome any recent knowledge or feedback.

She will be 5 months pregnant at the time of sailing.

I know the decision is ultimately ours, but just wondering how much this is still a "thing" to those living there?

I would be concerned if I was pregnant. I’m sure her doctor would give good advise.

We’re going to Cozumel, Havana, Costa Maya, and a few Caribbean island then to San Juan. And our doctor made sure we were vaccinated and also prescribed medicine for Malaria from Mosquitoes.

The only place we have ever seen a mosquito of those three was Montego Bay, and that only because we took a river tubing trip inland. Most of the advisories relate to inland travel and being out after sundown, but you can read them on your own. While we don't live there we have visited 5-10 times in each location from cruise ships.

It’s been my experience from land vacations there at that time of year, you will find mosquitos on Cozumel in June.
