CruiseZog Posted April 3, 2018 Author #77 Share Posted April 3, 2018 We had a nice night with dinner at Coastal Kitchens and then seeing the Gift. While the story was weird, the singing and dancing were excellent. One unusual occurrence, they stopped the show in the middle due to a technical issue with the set, where they wanted to maintain performer safety. Everyone handled it extremely well, and the show went on 10 minutes later. As the cruise director said, it is LIVE theater!
CruiseZog Posted April 3, 2018 Author #78 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Today, we are stopping at Coco Cay. The weather looks perfect, so tendering shouldn't be a problem. We're planning for a relaxing beach day, definitely including some fruity drinks! [emoji295] [emoji484]

We're planning for a relaxing beach day, definitely including some fruity drinks! [emoji295] [emoji484] We are getting on the ship as you get off, and I'm debating whether to bring wet suits for CocoCay; would you please let me know if the water is comfortable for snorkeling? Thanks! Have a wonderful relaxing day filled with Coco Locos! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CruiseZog Posted April 3, 2018 Author #81 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Genie service has been great since then, more like what I expected.
CruiseZog Posted April 3, 2018 Author #82 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Mom.to.2, I did have some Coco Locos today! They were delicious! [emoji484] The water was cold, but the sun was hot. I didn't snorkel, but did go into the water. I didn't see anyone with a wet suit, but I could imagine having one if in the water for a long time. We rented a kayak and took turns going out in pairs. I was able to get a nice picture of the Anthem.
Mom.to.2 Posted April 3, 2018 #83 Share Posted April 3, 2018 The colors in your photos are so vivid! What kind of camera are you using? Thank you for the water temperature report. I'm relieved to hear things are looking up with your Genie. You paid too much to be disappointed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
CruiseZog Posted April 3, 2018 Author #84 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Just using my cell phone (LG), no filter. The colors here are just that vivid!

jandj1224 Posted April 3, 2018 #86 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Following. We will be on Anthem next January in Star Class. Would love to hear what your Genie has done that you are enjoying. Did you pre-book anything as far as northstar, ifly or dinners? What deck are you on?
CruiseZog Posted April 3, 2018 Author #87 Share Posted April 3, 2018 Pretty much any activity / show we want to see, our Genie has booked for us. I'm a planner, so it's been different not being in control of the schedule, but it's working well so far. Tonight, we are doing the chef's table restaurant. read52 Posted April 4, 2018 #88 Share Posted April 4, 2018 We are on the same cruise. We won the backpack at the meet and mingle. Wish we could have seen the launch but we couldn’t see it from Universal.

CruiseZog Posted April 4, 2018 Author #90 Share Posted April 4, 2018 Best. Excursion. Ever. We went to Blue Lagoon for the Royal Dolphin Swim. [emoji227] The dolphins and trainers (Dave and Keva) were amazing. We all had a great time and were able to do a lot of tricks with the dolphins. Blue Lagoon is a little further than I would have preferred, but the island and beach were beautiful.
CruiseZog Posted April 4, 2018 Author #91 Share Posted April 4, 2018 Chef's Table last night was fun... the service was excellent, the wine very nice and the food good. It wasn't the best meal I've ever had, but I'm glad that we did it.
Mom.to.2 Posted April 4, 2018 #92 Share Posted April 4, 2018 Best. Excursion. Ever.. Wow!!! Have any pictures to share? Did you catch a glimpse of the beach area? Was it crazy busy? We have the beach break booked for next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

CruiseZog Posted April 5, 2018 Author #94 Share Posted April 5, 2018 We spent a couple hours at the beach. The beach was not very busy... we arrived at 1130 and immediately found chairs. The beach was very nice, although the water was slightly colder than I expected.

CruiseZog Posted April 5, 2018 Author #96 Share Posted April 5, 2018 Thanks! That goes back to my wetsuit question [emoji12] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk That's right! I will say, though, we were in the water for an hour with the dolphins and I didn't feel like I needed a wetsuit.

CruiseZog Posted April 5, 2018 Author #98 Share Posted April 5, 2018 A busy day so far. First, we took a galley tour, which I found interesting. Then, we did the iFly. Marcus, our instructor, was very fun. Next, we did the escape room and made it out in 30 minutes. Next up is Northstar!
