What to do with luggage all day since our flight leave at 11 pm?

Unfortunately, because of vacation time availability, we will have to fly out of Anchorage on a Saturday night (we end our cruise in Alaska that morning). The flights for Saturday evening are much cheaper than those on Sunday morning, so it looks like we will be flying out at 11:45 pm (and then we don't have to pay for a hotel that night either). Is there a place in Anchorage or the airport where we can store our luggage for the day? Or is there a tour that we could take that would hold our luggage for us, or store it in the back of a tour van/bus? There will be six of us. Our cruise ends in Whittier at around 8 am, and we would fly out of Anchorage at 11:45 pm. Thanks very much for your help!

There might very will be a holding room. I'd try and call the airport direct and ask. Also we had a long wait at Orlando coming back from the Mariner last June. We go to the airport around 10:30 am and out flight wasn't until 2:30 pm curb check in wasn't real busy at the time the shuttle dropped us off so we ask was it to early to check in for the flight and they said no so we check in and they tagged our luggage gave us our boarding passing and on we went to explore the airport and eat & look around in the airport shops until flight time.

IF you take the cruise bus to the Egan Center, there is luggage storage there, but they close early 6pm I believe?? The airport has luggage storage for a fee, if you choose to get airport transportation. But I would suggest you see if a van is available for rental from Avis one way Whittier to Anchorage? Very costly but Would make the best use of your time and allow you some extra touring that would be very worthwhile. Otherwise, do a search for a private tour that will pick you up in Whittier and show you around Anchorage. http://www.anchorage.net

It's possible your luggage can be checked with the airline. In San Juan several years ago on NCL, our flight was late afternoon and we booked an excursion for the day. After we cleared customs at the port, there were trucks from the major airlines picking up luggage so we only had to keep our carry-on. Not sure if other lines do this or even if NCL still does it.
